This policy explains what personal information WD Creative collects, why, and what happens to it. In short: I only collect what I need to reply to you and run your project, I don't sell it, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

Who I am

What I collect

When you visit the website
The site is hosted by Squarespace, which collects some information from every visitor so it can run the site securely: details about your browser, network and device, the pages you visit, the page you came from, and your IP address. Squarespace explains how it uses this in its own privacy policy.

If you accept analytics cookies, the site also records how you use it, such as pages viewed, links clicked, scrolling and time on the page, so I can see what's working.

When you get in touch
Through the contact form, by email or by booking a call, I collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your company and role, and whatever you tell me about your project. Form submissions are stored by Squarespace and emailed to me.

When you become a client
I keep the contact details of the people I work with, project briefs, files and feedback, and billing details for invoices.

I don't collect payment card details, and I don't knowingly collect sensitive information such as health data.

Why I use it, and the legal basis

  • Replying to enquiries and arranging calls: legitimate interests, as I'm responding to people who contact me

  • Delivering projects and communicating with clients: contract, as I'm carrying out the work we've agreed

  • Sending invoices and keeping financial records: legal obligation, under tax and company law

  • Understanding how the website is used: consent, only if you accept analytics cookies

Who I share it with

I never sell your information. I use a few trusted services to run the business, and they handle data on my behalf:

  • Squarespace: website hosting, forms and analytics

  • Calendly: call bookings

  • Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts: the site's typefaces are loaded from these services, which receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser details

  • Vimeo: videos embedded on the site, including the showreel, are played from Vimeo, which may collect information about your device and viewing

  • Microsoft 365: email and file storage

  • Xero: invoicing and accounts

I may also share information with my accountant, or where the law requires it.

Some of these services store data outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, they use recognised legal safeguards, such as the UK–US Data Bridge or standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don't become projects: up to 2 years, then deleted

  • Client project records: for the length of the project, plus up to 6 years

  • Invoices and financial records: 6 years, as required for company records

Cookies

The website uses cookies, small files stored on your device. Essential cookies let Squarespace serve the site securely and are always on. Analytics and performance cookies only run if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can see the full list in The cookies Squarespace uses, and change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of the site.

Embedded videos and booking tools may set their own cookies when you play a video or open the booking calendar.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • give you a copy of the information I hold about you

  • correct anything that's wrong

  • delete your information

  • stop or limit how I use it

  • send your information to you or someone else in a usable format

Email adam@wdcreative.design and I'll respond within one month, free of charge.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first and I'll do my best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I use personal information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
